About Us
Founders and Farmers, Tamer and Claire Harpke, share a background in hospitality management, having worked in the restaurant and fine wine industries for many years. They learned first hand the importance of relationships and product quality.

Tamer has always been an avid gardener by hobby, but his interest in traditional farming was piqued after working the grape harvests in Italy. He began growing microgreens in his backyard, and quickly recognized the demand for specialty produce in South Florida.

Harpke Family Farms has been growing food since 2013, and we love selecting unique varieties grown specifically for our chefs and developing relationships with our chefs that start at the farm. We grow year round and love to work with chefs who care about using the most unique, locally sourced ingredients. Our general growing philosophy is: chef-driven, harvested to order, with a focus on sustainability.
Practices
We grow in a soil-based greenhouse and also use growing methods including deep water culture hydroponics and above-ground grow bags. We never use synthetic pesticides, synthetic herbicides, treated seeds or GMO varieties.
