About Us
Regener8 Farm runs a CSA program. CSA: Community Supported Agriculture is a program that will start on Nov.29th, 2023 and will run through May22nd 2024. The program connects the consumer with the farmer. The Farm provides food for the duration of the growing season and the consumer chooses which program option is best suited for them. At the moment R8 offers Biweekly Seasonal Mix Boxes, Weekly Seasonal Mix Boxes, BiWeekly Small Seasonal Mix Boxes, Weekly Small Seasonal Mix, Salad Boxes, Soup Boxes and Microgreens Boxes. Every one of the box options can be delivered to each one of the pick up location options. There are 5 different pick up locations open for the general public. The other 3 locations are only available for the Centner Academy Schools community; families and faculty. The CSA program brings the freshest quality of food to the consumers. It connects the consumers directly with the farm and educates them on what eating seasonally looks like. The program comes with beautiful benefits as well as risks. Folks who join the program can expect to receive seasonal; veggies, roots, herbs, greens, microgreens and some fruits for the season. The bulk of the produce is harvested and delivered within 48 hours. And the variety of produce encourages members to try different recipes. The risks include understanding certain produce loses and being adaptable to weather the changes that the farm goes through due to rain and possible pest intrusions. Other options to add on to the CSA are also available. Farm fresh eggs, farm collected honey and soon fresh tilapia. The hens are free range. They get raised by R8 farmers from the time they are chicks and they grow up roaming freely in a safely guarded space. The hens eat high quality feed, non gmo and free from soy and corn. The hens receive natural supplements and special weekly care that keeps them healthy and strong. The farm aims to promote educational experiences in Miami-Dade County by offering hands-on and research-based opportunities to students. FIU students from the Agroecology program have the opportunity to join the farm and intern during the growing season. And the partnership with Centner Academy involves bringing their students to R8 for a series of field trips. R8 hosts the educational field trips for grades 1-9. Last but not least, R8 welcomes Volunteers on selected dates as well.
